Mechanicsville covers a lot of ground in northern St. Mary’s County, and the floors here are not the floors you find in a subdivision. A high-build system with a flake or quartz broadcast for grip and impact tolerance is the right one.
Detached and unheated buildings also bring a scheduling constraint that attached garages do not. Most coating systems need the slab above roughly 50 degrees and want stable conditions through cure, and an uninsulated pole barn in January is not that. Slab temperature gets measured rather than guessed, and in the cold months the work either gets heated or gets scheduled.
Golden Beach and the parcels running down toward the Patuxent add a third variable. The closer a slab sits to the river, the higher the water table under it, and the more likely the moisture reading is going to drive the specification.
